First homework project of the year. These poor moose jumped over a 5 foot fence. Which is no problem for them, but when they got inside the fence is now over 7 feet tall, and there is no food inside this area for them. The young bull kept trying to jump over the fence in a big panic, with every attempt he kept getting his legs caught in the fence and he's lucky he did not end up side down. So I snapped a few photos. And I figured if I backed off. They may calm down enough and find an easier way out. I went back and checked on them on Sunday morning. To make sure they weren't there. And if they were I was going to get a hold of the game warden to find out whose property it was and then try to get the gate open some way or another to let them free. Moose need approximately 60 pounds of food a day to survive in the wintertime. It would not take long in a situation like this to get sick and die. But I was very happy to find they must have found a better way out. Photograph below Revelstoke dam. And a close-up photo I had to do for homework.
