While our dog Had new puppies,she went into labor on Sunday am and we thought she was done with five, but I felt her tummy and lo and behold. I was sure I felt 2 more.we called up on the Vet.
To make a long story short we ended up babysitting her till Monday morning and took her to the vet clinic when it opened.C-section later and losing two of the puppies. so we ended up feeding the puppies for a bit while she recovered, she started feeding and everything looked good, but little runt wasn't looking very good so we started feeding him,but with no luck I am sad to say he did not make it. For a little dog to have seven puppies it's way too many. so she has four very healthy puppies, and she is very protective of them,and she will not be having anymore.

Blanket Creek provincial Park it's definitely a place to shoot Gophers, or I should say photograph Gophers.some of thees little critters were pretty brave to let me get so close.All in all it was a great day.

looking for grizzly bears

A very long day on Sunday, a friend of mine called me Saturday night and told me he's seen five grizzly bears. Because of this news I got very excited gathered up all my gear found the exact location where he seen them, Clancy supplied me with a pretty good map of their location. Found lots of scat but no bears to be had not even a little black bear. Not having much luck with Bears this season, they seem to be spooked, and they run off as soon as you see them. I do have a few photos of them, But nothing very good yet.here are a few photos of a ruffled grouse.from Sunday's expedition.

Well a few months ago, I thought I was having a problems with my camera. All of a sudden I noticed my photos not being very sharp, looking a little soft and not quite in focus. My wife kept telling me they look good to her, but I did not listen. I sent My D. 300 in to get fixed because I dropped it and did quite a bit of damage. Including totally wrecking my favorite Lens, my 24x70 2.8.which I missed it dearly. And still have not replaced it. So I figured as soon as I got it back I would send my D. 700 into Nikon to get them to take a look and see if there was a problem. While I received my D. 300 Nikon back from the repairs, which total damage was $500, plus Nikon did whole bunch of warranty work which would've cost over $1200 if they did not cover that, so I was pretty happy about that. So I took a bunch of pictures and was not impressed at all because every picture I took was soft and out of focus. Very discouraged, I kept trying a bit one day I was sitting on my computer, and my wife said to me there is nothing wrong with that photo. I satback from the computer a few feet and put on my classes and lo and behold a sharp image. Conclusion I need to get my eyes checked again. 2 1/2 months trying to figure out what was wrong with my gear,and all it is is old age Dame that is not cool at all.that's my story and I'm keeping to it. Here are a few photos from Garrard River located in British Columbia,on the May long weekend. These rainbow trout weigh as much as 20 to 40lb.please let me know what you think all comments are greatly appreciated.

How much snow is too much snow? every person you talk to the first thing they say is when is it going to stop. Yesterday was a beautiful day Sunny and all that good stuff so I decided to try to show you how much snow we actually have. It is currently Saturday morning and it is snowing there is approximately another 5 inches.
This week alone we've received over 2 feet of snow. So in total snowfall they claim we have over 540 cm of the white stuff, that is equal to 18 feet of actual snowfall,from what I can see, and by judging, we probably have about 6 feet of snow on the ground. So I hope you enjoy the photos of our snow in Revelstoke.

92 centimeters of snow, in 72 hours.

Around Christmas time we only had 30 cm of snow, and the last two weeks we have received 235 centimeters of snow, and that doesn't include the 2 day of freezing rain.last week and a half you pretty much can't leave Revelstoke, the roads are usually closed for accidents or avalanches our freezing rain, the last 72 hours the roads have only been open a few hours here they are. With lots of horror stories of people beening stuck on the roads up to eight hours at a time.have a great day. And I will try to get more puppy pictures today,not a guarantee but soon for sure.
